AFA RTP Teens board
EverThrive Aging Initiative is the AFA RTP Teens board. One team, one set of programs, two names — this page explains what that means.
Learn more about AFA TeensWhat AFA Teens is
AFA Teens is the teen program of the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, a national nonprofit focused on Alzheimer's care, services, and support for the families living with the disease. The program gives middle and high school students a way to learn about Alzheimer's and related dementias, volunteer locally, and raise awareness in their own communities. Chapters are student-run and carry the AFA Teens name in the area they serve.
Our board
EverThrive was founded independently by students in 2024 — not as a chapter, and not under anyone else's name. Our work started with financial literacy workshops and grew into a broader commitment to older adults' wellness. EverThrive Aging Initiative is the AFA RTP Teens board: the same team runs the same programs under both names.
